Cancun has many shopping centers, shopping malls and market places. Because of the rich cultural diversity of this region of Mexico you can find all kinds of unique items. You will find everything from international designer labels to local handicrafts such as high-quality woodcrafts, jewelry, Mexican handcrafts, pottery, typical clothing. There is something for everyone.

Cancun Kukulkan Plaza is a 60,000 square meter shopping center that has more than 250 shops and boutiques in a close and safe environment, 6 specialty restaurants, bars, cafes, 2 theaters and bowling alley, as well as a Food Court offering 9 different options and the best and new Luxury Avenue. Luxury Avenue - Boutique Mall
Offers exclusive fashion, jewelry, fragrance and cosmetic collections from designers such as Burberry, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, DKNY, LongChamp and MaxMara in a luxurious shopping environment. Refer to the Luxury Avenue website for more details.
La Isla Shopping Village. The glittering, ultra trendy (and ultra expensive) La Isla Shopping Village is on the Nichupte Lagoon under a giant canopy. A series of canals and small bridges are designed to give the place a Venetian look. Cancun Flamingo Plaza is a small, high-tech plaza beautifully decorated with marble. It has designer, duty-free, and sportswear shops, an exchange booth, and two boutiques selling imports. Among other facilities you can find bank and ATM. Famous restaurants are located here like Planet Hollywood, Margarita Ville, Outback, Pat O'brien's, Bubba Gum. Cancun Plaza Caracol. The largest and most contemporary of the malls, it is located north of the Convention Center. It houses about 200 shops and boutiques, including two pharmacies, art galleries, a currency exchange, and folk-art and jewelry shops, as well as cafes and restaurants. Cancun Forum-by-the-Sea is a sparkling entertainment and shopping plaza in the Zone. This three-level plaza offers Cancun's biggest selection of cinemas, brand-name stores, and restaurants in a circus-like atmosphere. Plaza Forum by the sea houses the Hard Rock Cafe Cancun, Rainforest Restaurant and it is located next door to The City disco and the Dady'O and Bulldog cafe. Cancun Plaza Las Americas
This shopping mall is located in Cancun downtown. It has over 50 stores, three restaurants, eight movie theaters, ATM, book stores, pharmacy, video arcade, fast-food outlets, and three large department stores. You will think you're back home! It houses JC Penney, Sears, Liverpool, J&C, Pelletier, Sanborns, Mama Roma's, Chedraui supermarket and many more beautifully decorated stores. Ask any taxi driver to take you there.
Plaza Bonita Cancun (Downtown)
The Plaza is located on Av. Xel-ha, behind the Post Office, next to Mercado 28. As its name indicates (Plaza Bonita means beautiful plaza) this shopping mall resembles a typical Mexican village. It has many stores where you can find handcrafts, fine art pieces, paintings, hairdresser, cafes, restaurants, money exchange booth, bank, two ATMs, gym, travel agencies, computer store, ice cream shop and jewelry shops. It is worth a visit to this beautiful place. To get there just ask the taxi driver to take you to the plaza, although it is not necessary to tell him that it is located behind the Post Office (correos) building and next to the famous market 28.
Cancun La Gran Plaza
This new shopping mall opened in May 2006. Many stores, gift shops, clothing stores, book shop, 15 movie theaters, department stores, food court, Wal Mart, Burger King, Suburbia (JC Penney like) and so on. It is located at Ave. Nichupte #S/N. If you are coming the hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the corner of Plaza Gigante, walk to the west around 3 blocks and you'll be there.
Plaza Hollywood Cancun
Near Sam's Club and Wal Mart in downtown. It has many stores, banks, offices, gym and much more. If you are coming from the hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Walmart bus stop, walk one block and there you are. Walmart Super Market is in walking distance from Plaza Hollywood.
Paseo Cancun
Behind the Soriana Super Market. The newest shopping mall in town, it has restaurants, boutiques, movie theaters, pet shop, clothing shops and shoe stores. The famous restaurants Hooters and the Sirloin Stockade are located in this mall. If you are coming from the Cancun hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Chedraui Kabah bus stop and just cross the avenue, pass the Soriana and walk one block to the west.
